Five Northport High School seniors recently signed their National Letter of Intent to play their sport of choice at the collegiate level. Surrounded by their coaches, the student-athletes will graduate in June and move on to play at the next level in the fall.

Track and Cross-Country athletes Eddie O’Brien and Evan Atherton signed their National Letter of Intent with their coach Jason Strom by their side. O’Brien will be attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall for track, while Atherton will be attending the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for cross-country.

Senior Maggie Fox signed on to play field hockey at SUNY New Paltz, Brenna Farrington committed to play lacrosse at the United States Coast Guard Academy and Ryan Magnuson signed on to play lacrosse at the United States Naval Preparatory Academy.

“The Athletic Department wishes each of these students continued success at the college level,” said Director of Physical Education, Athletics and Health Paul Klimuszko. “Thanks to all these student-athletes for their commitment and dedication to the Northport High School athletic program.”
