The Earth Dome, a gigantic inflatable earth composed of satellite photographs from space, visited third-graders from Pulaski Road Elementary School on Dec. 14. This dome, standing 19-feet high and 22-feet in diameter, was created by Mobile Ed Productions and has been used across the country to educate students about geography and the environment.

Students were in awe of its size, and excitedly gathered in front of the dome. The representative from Mobile Ed Productions taught the third-graders all about the different continents—the terrains that cover them, like the Amazon Rainforest and the Atacama Desert, the different creatures that inhabit them, longitude and latitude and more. Afterwards, students were given the opportunity to enter the dome, and were excited to see the earth from the inside!
