High school senior Ryan Lupo was honored as the business education student of the month at the district’s Board of Education meeting on March 26. Vice Principal Denise Keenan presented Mr. Lupo to the Board, describing him as natural leader who takes his role seriously, yet is always good-natured –managing to find the humor in most situations.

“He has impressed the business education teachers with his maturity and dedication to the business program,” said Mrs. Keenan.

Mr. Lupo was selected to be the President of the Academy of Finance, acting as an advocate for his peers, as well as the Vice President of Sales for Port Clothing, the high school’s Virtual Enterprise company, and is on a student panel with new teachers that discusses, from a student standpoint, what types of teaching have the biggest impacts on students. In addition, he is a three-year member of DECA, a talented varsity athlete, and an individual who is committed to excellence in academics.

“There is no doubt that Ryan has a very bright future ahead of him,” said business teacher Lisa Pfisterer.
