Sophomore business student Katerina Wettengel traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, during the last week in April to compete in the DECA International Business Competition. Qualifying students competed and placed in both regional and state level contests, and previously Katerina placed 3rd overall in the Human Resource Management category on the state level in Rochester. DECA is a business club for students who are interested in learning and practicing marketing, management, entrepreneurship and economics.

All competing students took a 100-question written exam and were judged in at least one role-play case-solving event. Eighteen thousand high school students, advisors, alumni and business partners gathered at the Georgia World Congress Center for this international event.
