For the past 42 years, the Northport High School social studies department has coordinated a group of students to visit Pilgrim State to bring some holiday cheer to the patients there. This year was no different.
On Dec. 18, the students brought gifts and handmade cookies as well as sang holiday classics, to help brighten spirits for the holidays. Additionally, patients enjoyed a performance by the Tigerettes, the school’s audition dance team.
“It was a lovely event and everyone had a beautiful day,” social studies teacher, Brittany Klein, said.
