A “Welcome Home” sign was the first thing kindergartners and first graders saw as they hopped off of their buses at Ocean Avenue Elementary School on Jan. 6.

Since September, the students had been housed at Norwood Avenue Elementary School to allow for construction teams to repair the roof of the school’s B-Wing. 

Teachers greeted anxious students at the door and directed them to their new classrooms. Once inside, they went over morning routine and unpacked their school supplies.
