Cast members of Northport High School’s upcoming production of Chicago performed the opening number, “All That Jazz” alongside Broadway star Mary Claire King on Jan. 10.

The high school theater students took a trip to New York to attend a workshop with cast members of the Broadway musical production of Chicago. Mary Claire King, who plays Liz and is the understudy for Velma Kelly, helped the students with vocals and choreography.

To close the workshop, the students had the opportunity to have a Q & A with Mary Claire King and the piano accompanist. Following the workshop, the students took their seats in the Ambassador Theatre to watch the Broadway production.
