The Northport-East Northport school district is thrilled to announce the appointment of Louis Bonadonna as the new assistant superintendent of special education and student support services.  Following an extensive and competitive search, Mr. Bonadonna was chosen due to extensive experience following his time as the director of special education at the Connetquot School District.
At Northport-East Northport, Mr. Bonadonna is expected to further develop the district’s special education curriculum and program, as well as oversee the Student Support Services department. In preparation for his first day, he spent time with current special education administrators and met with SEPTA leadership.
Prior to his role as director of special education, he served as a school psychologist and CSE, CPSE and 504 Chairperson in a Nassau County district and as an assistant director of pupil services in two Nassau County districts.
Mr. Bonadonna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hofstra University, and a Master of Arts in School Psychology as well as an advanced certificate in School District Leadership from Adelphi University.
“We are thrilled to have Mr. Bonadonna join us and are confident he will bring a fresh perspective and thoughtful leadership to our special education and student support services departments,” shared Robert Banzer, Superintendent of Schools.
