Three Northport High School students were honored with awards at Huntington Camera Club’s annual high school competition. The awards highlight the talents of young photographers and their teachers in the Long Island area.  

First Place winner in the black & white category was Northport High School senior Bridget Buckmaster, who received an award at the ceremony held at the Huntington Public Library for her image, "Checkmate". Honorable Mention awards also were given to Senior Molly Hoffman in the Windows & Doors Category for her image, "Broken View", and Junior Michelle Muratore in the Black & White Category for her image "Peering Through". The students’ artwork was created under the direction of art teacher John DeRosa.
