The annual wellness week at Northport High School took place the week of April 11, with students having various opportunities to learn about wellness and take time to focus on both physical and mental health.

Activities ranged from relaxation crafts to yoga and even pet therapy. Therapy dogs were present at the school each day from Bideawee and Therapy Dogs of Long Island. Students could be found enjoying the outdoors and spending time with the animals, as well as indoors focusing on meditation and exploring mental health resources.

In addition to the various activities, students could also view presentations from mental health and counseling staff on topics including depression, substance abuse, coping strategies and more.
