Both the health and physical education Rotary students of the month were honored during the April 26 Northport-East Northort Board of Education meeting. Richard Kershow was recognized for his work in physical education, while Lisa Kovacs was honored for her work in the health department.
Both seniors were also praised for being not only academically talented, but kind and caring individuals who go out of their way to help teachers, coaches and fellow students. 
Richard will be attending Hood College next year to study accounting and continue his baseball career. Lisa will be attending Georgia Tech University for biomedical engineering.
