On Wednesday November 30th, students in Mr. Krahel's A.P. United States Government and Politics classes visited Stony Brook University to hear from Professor Jason Rose of the Political Science Department. Professor Rose is the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award as well as the two-time recipient of the Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award in Political Science at Stony Brook University. He led an engaging discussion on current political topics in the United States, studying political science at the university level and careers in political science.

After the discussion he had the following to say "I was tremendously impressed with the how curious and brilliant the students of the A.P. Government classes from Northport High School are. They demonstrate an uncommon maturity and I have no doubt that they will accomplish great things in the future!"
