Congratulations to senior Sebastian DiTucci, who was named the district's first ever Rotary Student of the Month for Career & Technical Education!

Sebastian was recognized for his work in the Western Suffolk BOCES welding program. As a third generation welder, Sebastian expressed passion for the work and a desire to be successful in his future career.

Counselor Lenore Kmiotek recognized Sebastian as not only a tremendous welder, but a wonderful person and student. "What I'll remember about Sebastian is his charisma, his personality, his friendliness, his way that he can talk to anyone," she said. "There wasn't a time that he came into my office and didn't make me laugh, so that is what I will remember about him."

Sebastian has applied to several schools with plans to pursue a career in construction management with welding as his speciality and hopes of being a business owner one day.

Congratulations, Sebastian!
