At the end of March, science-loving students from ENMS competed in the New York State Science Olympiad Division B Regional Tournament. Among students from 30 other schools in Suffolk County, five ENMS students placed third in their competing categories. Third-place winners and their categories included Leanna Greenstein and Audrey Ryan in the “Microbe Mission;” Ether Loring and Connor Stratton in “Optics;” and Leanna Greenstein and Michael Perrino in “Write It/Do It.”

Student Leanna Greenstein was the only ENMS student to receive two medals in two separate categories.

“I’m so proud of our students and how hard they worked for this competition,” said club advisor Diane Lipari, “and it’s always exciting to have extra girl power in the field of science.”
