Prior to Northport High School’s homecoming game, new members were inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony held in the auditorium and attended by family, community members and public officials on Sept. 28. The ceremony commenced with a dramatic entry by the Northport Tiger Marching Band, Flagline and Tigerettes and opening remarks and a warm welcome by Hall of Fame Bob Brady. 

“None of this happens without community support,” Superintendent of Schools Robert Banzer said in his opening remarks. “This is an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments and relationships that have been forged.”

Each of the Class of 2019 inductees were then called to the podium after a biography and list of accomplishments were delivered by individual presenters. The District congratulates the following members of the Class of 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame: 1983 Varsity Baseball Team, The Atkinson Family, Lois Elsinger, Grace Hawkins, Dr. Rick Johnson, Kevin O’Sullivan, Rob Parker, Dr. James Ruck, George Tiffany and Phil Weber.
