Northport High School sports marketing students had the opportunity to spend the day at MetLife stadium to learn the ins and outs of the NFL business. Hosted by the New York Jets, students met with representatives from various departments including finance, marketing, data analytics, branding, sales and corporate sponsorships.
The overarching theme of the conversations was the importance of building a brand and how to sell the New York Jets, whether that be through season tickets, corporate boxes, various partnerships and more.
The event is hosted each year with up to 30 high schools from the tri-state area in attendance.
