Northport High School’s Electrathon Team competed on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Lime Rock, Connecticut Fall Challenge! In the spring, the electric vehicle earned third-place in the team’s debut year. This fall, under the direction of faculty advisor, Mr. Ed Moloney, the team modified the car building a better, faster and more electrically efficient vehicle. The engineering design, innovation and team’s collaboration paid off as the team achieved a first-place victory!
 
The Northport High School Electrathon Team is already hard at work designing a 2nd generation vehicle and are looking forward to expanding this opportunity with additional students leading to competition in the spring of 2025.
