Students at East Northport Middle School presented "Matilda: The Musical Jr." March 21-23rd.  Over 60 students worked for four months to bring this story to life, infusing it with humor, heart, and a healthy dose of rebellion. In addition to a large group of talented actors, students supported the play as members of stage crew, sound crew, light crew and costume crew. 

“I am incredibly proud of how hard our students worked to make “Matilda: The Musical Jr.” a phenomenal experience for attendees,” said teacher and musical producer Kelly Lange. “Not only did our actors and performers fully commit to their roles, but all of our supporting crew members went above and beyond to transform our auditorium into the world of ‘Matilda’.”

"Matilda Jr." tells the story of a remarkable young girl with extraordinary abilities and an indomitable spirit. Matilda Wormwood, despite facing challenges at home and school, discovers the power of her intellect and imagination to overcome obstacles and stand up for what's right.  This enchanting musical reminds us all that “sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty” and that children can be our best teachers.
