The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) at Northport High School held its annual “Academy Awards” event on Thursday, May 11 to honor the academic achievements of graduating seniors and outstanding students in the academy program.  

The seniors earned their AOIT certificates after completing 4 years of demanding academic courses in information technology along with the required capstone summer internship. The keynote speech was presented by AOIT Class of 2018 alumna Alexandra Cartwright, who now works at the cybersecurity company Mandiant, a Google company.  

The Class of 2023 seniors who completed the AOIT program are Michael Amella, Zoe Ansell, John Baumgarth, Richard Bender, Andrew Bernson, Hunter Brown, Christian Cavanaugh, Joshua D’Souza, Anthony DeStio III, Ryan Gibson, Andrew Hahn, David Healey, Abigail Jackson, Ryan Kattau, Joseph Luft, Jacob Newman, Gregory Reardon, and Patrick Wroblewski.
