During a special recognition ceremony prior to the June 6 meeting of the Northport-East Northport Board of Education, the Board honored three groups of distinguished staff members for their dedication and contributions to the district.

The recognitions began by recognizing administrators and staff who have recently received tenure, and the ceremony continued by recognizing those retiring from the district this year, thanking them for their years of service and their commitment to the success of the students of Northport.

The recognition ceremony concluded with staff members Amy Carruthers, Anthony Ferrandino, Jenny Konop, Emily LaGiglia and Cassie Reilly being recognized with Professional Achievement Awards for the 2023-24 school year, where they were commended for their effort and dedication they put into education.
