Five talented student-musicians from Northport High School were selected to showcase their musical mastery during the 2024 New York State School Music Association’s All-State performance, which will take place this December in Rochester, New York. The students selected to perform with their respective ensembles are Lily Eagen, Jacob Karp, Andrew McRoy, Abigail Ng and Shannon Weisman.

The competitive selection process for selecting an All-State musician includes teacher recommendations, audition scores during NYSSMA solo evaluations and exemplary participation in other performing organizations. More than 6,500 students audition for the All-State performing groups and approximately 600 are selected to participate annually.
