Two distinguished educators from the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District were recently recognized as “Women of Distinction” nominees by New York State Assemblyman Keith Brown.

East Northport Middle School special education teacher Kathleen Hartmann and Fifth Avenue Elementary School teacher Maureen Petrone were nominated for their tireless effort, empathy, expertise and passion for educating students. Both women were presented with certificates during a celebration where their plentiful accomplishments could be recognized.
