Congratulations to Northport High School Class of 2022 Valedictorian Esther Loring, and Salutatorian Michael Torres! 

Esther and Michael have exemplified what it means to be a Tiger through not only their exceptional grades and academic achievements, but their involvement in school activities and extracurriculars.

Esther has been heavily involved in the district's science department, taking numerous advanced courses and partaking in a program with Brookhaven National Lab working on crystalizing proteins. She is also a member of Science Olympiad and a talented musician. She will be attending the Peabody Conservatory at John's Hopkins University and majoring in oboe performance. 

Michael is also a talented student with a deep interest in mathematics. He's taken several advanced math courses during his tenure and has been a leader on the math team. He will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall and majoring in mathematics.
